'DRIVE' - DEMO DROP
A recently finished song written for PolSky
This track marks the beginning a phase of releasing the multitude of demo’s I have for PolSky. Over the past 15 years I have amassed around 50 songs , all of which exist (in my mind!) on distinctly different albums (at least 3). These songs, are slowly finding there way into live sets, and this song ‘DRIVE’ was completed for the groups last show. It had a sense of knocking thee blocks off of those in attendance at our fabulous local venue The Fiery Bird - Distinctly 80’s on STEROIDS, dark and fittingly dystopian for the times - this one simply can’t wait to be heard folks! The track began life (and was darkly inspired) under the first ill fated Trump presidency, I found it timely and fit for completion under the current shitshow…..
It has certainly felt like a form of madness to be sitting on all this material and waiting until the band finds a way to fund the second record! We had such a great ride with the debut L.P. EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONS, mixed sublimely by NEIL COMBER it’s certainly set the bar high, it will be well worth waiting to employ his services again for ALBUM 2 - so until then these demo releases will help us along the way:) ….The good news is we have the next single ‘Domesticating Foxes’ being mixed by Neil over the next few weeks, I’m really excited about this one, as it feels like the culmination of all the work from Exec Functions, but up a level - EXPECT first rush mixes here soon…..
