Pivotal track for the forthcoming second PolSky L.P.
Here is a treat for the weekend…
This track is a band favourite, and intended to be the Pivotal track on one of the ‘sides’ of the follow up PolSky record (a double album in the making nonetheless !)
This is a Mix completed by my good friend and collaborator Chris Bangs that was submitted for my Degree back in late 2020 amongst the heady madness of lockdown..
The band haven’t played it since then and I’m excited to be bringing it back into the set for our next phase of recording and shows.. the intention is to push the track on another 5-10 percent. this is a great version by the band and mix by Chris, however I have a feeling the song has a bit more to yield before it arrives at the final version that will appear on the next record ….
HISTORY..
I wrote the original song for the Pendragon Recordings which was an album project I co-facilitated at a school for autistic and EBD children in South London waaay back in 2013.., I was most privileged to work with the amazing creativity of the students a project made possible by the support of a wonderful staff and management at the school. Between myself and fellow producers artist Gemma Lloyd and actor Celyn Jones we managed to secure the collaborations of Idris Elba, Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, a singer from The English National Opera and Gentlemans Dub Club all featuring alongside a different student from the school and also children from the now defunct charity KidsCo.….This was all launched with a spectacular live show at The Barbican ……it was incredible !the project shone a light on what was possible working within the arts in special educational settings.. such fond memories that I will always cherish
